Writer’s Block Takes Hold – An Update

onhghy5

Five days after I acknowledged that I’ve become somewhat disheartened with the quality of my recent posts (a few have been good, a few others not so much), I’ve come to conclude that some days I’m literally forcing things out prematurely. This whole “publish things daily’ was a great challenge for some time, but in my current juncture of life, my motivation has dulled to the preference of other activities. Basically, I’ve run out of solid ideas that I want to write, instead opting to write for the sake of it, which is no bueno. Continue reading “Writer’s Block Takes Hold – An Update”

Traveling Thoughts on World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade (Eversong Woods)

A few disclaimers before we move forward:

  • Traveling Thoughts is a means of putting down my thoughts in a bit-by-bit process that will eventually lead up to a formal review of the overall subject. These posts will be more personal than objective, though one should expect a good amount of both as is my personality of habit.

Like with Azuremyst Isle, Eversong Woods has the benefit of the “new bias,” such that the area is given extra attention by developers as part of a brand new expansion designed to appeal to new and old players alike. Despite this, I don’t recall ever finding the questing area for the blood elves all that interesting or fun. It wasn’t until I matured that I came to realize just how detailed and varied Eversong Woods is. Continue reading “Traveling Thoughts on World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade (Eversong Woods)”

Coming to Terms with Your Blogging Identity

Angry Rabbit

There are times when my writing does not come up to the standards that I set for myself as a competitive perfectionist. The most recent example of this was my last article, detailing my thoughts on the latest Star Wars: Episode IX trailer. In it, much was said about how big corporations are run by Satan and that the existence of anything for profit is bereft of the creative soul. Upon publishing, I immediately looked back on it and thought, “Man, how often have I said all this before?”

Many times. Such is the identity I have established for myself the past six years. Continue reading “Coming to Terms with Your Blogging Identity”

If not for strong competition from Tirisfal Glades, this may very well be my favorite starting zone in the entire game. It is, by far, my favorite starting zone from a member of the Alliance. Continue reading “Traveling Thoughts on World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade (Azuremyst Isle)”

My Ideas for a Modern F-Zero Title

[Disclaimer: all images acquired from Google search.]

I live about a three-minute walk away from an elementary school—the same elementary school I attended when I was a child. Behind the school (or perhaps in front of it, depending on direction) is a track used for P.E. activities, football, and other school activities. Occasionally, I like to walk around this track to clear my head or get some fresh air. My most recent visits had me thinking about F-Zero GX, the last game in the F-Zero franchise (not counting spin-offs like GP Legends). It’s been over fifteen years since then, and no new F-Zero game has made itself available for the Wii, Wii U, or the Switch thus far. I think that’s unfortunate. Now that the March of the Movies block has ended, I can finally get back to writing about this gargantuan game at a relatively comfortable pace!
